Classic Chocolate Bundt Cake

With the holidays approaching I enjoy trying new recipes and sharing those recipes on the blog! Today I’m sharing a classic chocolate bundt cake with powderd sugar on top. Here’s how to make the cake..


1 1/2 c. sugar

1/2 c. shortening

3 eggs

2 sqs. chocolate

2 T. boiling water

3/4 c. sour milk

1 t. baking soda

2 c. flour

1/2 t. salt

2 t. flavoring (vanilla)

2 T. powderd sugar


1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. Melt chocolate in boiling water. Allow to cool. Dissolve baking soda and shortening. Add chocolate. Add eggs one at a time and beat thoroughly. Stir in milk. Add flour, salt and vanilla. Pour into greased and floured bundt pan and bake for about 45-50 minutes.

2. Once cooled, sprinkle the powdered sugar over the chocolate Bundt cake!
